HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS
BIRTHDAYS
Since I promote healthy eating habits and try to alleviate potential allergy complications, birthdays will not be celebrated with sugary foods. You are welcome to bring in a special healthy treat for your little one to share!
SPECIAL EVENTS
I
hope you will join us for these fun events throughout the year!
Meet
the Teacher – the week prior to school starting I
will set up individual meetings for each of the students. Parents can attend if desired but no
siblings, please. This time is
intended to focus on getting to know the student and to familiarize him/her
with the classroom.
Get
to Know You Family Orientation and Picture Day - Tuesday, August 30th and Wednesday, August 31st. Parents,
enjoy a date with your child to meet other preschool families. This casual event allows you and your children to tour our classroom and grounds by
way of a scavenger hunt. Come
ready because one of the clues will lead you right in front of a camera for
picture day! It also makes the
first drop-off a little easier. Please
remember to bring your child’s spare change of clothes in a labeled shoe box to leave in their cubby.
Fall
Harvest Night Hike - The night glows in autumn magic. Join us in Provo Canyon for
a simple nocturnal hike followed by warm cider, treats and songs around the
campfire.
Winter
Art Workshop and Display - A midway point in the school year; come
see what your child has accomplished so far! Pick up your child’s student assessment and make your own
winter art.
Parent
Teacher Conferences –
Parents will be encouraged to sign up for a 15-minute slot to discuss your child’s mid-year student assessment.
End of the Year
Flower Celebration – Thursday, May 24th. We will say our final good-byes during a special flower
ceremony. This is where parents will be able to pick up
their student’s final student assessment. No class this day.
Parent
Teacher Conferences –
Monday, May 28th and Tuesday, May 29th. Parents will be encouraged to sign up for a 15-minute slot to discuss your child’s end of the year
student assessment.
*Information
on additional events will be announced as dates get closer
Family Involvement
FIELD TRIPS
All
field trips require a parent/guardian to attend. Field trips are for both
preschool classes, so often there are no classes are held on field trip days. I will
provide details about these field trips through the weekly email. Some field trips will be held on your
child’s class day but there may be times when the event is only offered on a
specific date. Please contact me if you have additional questions. We hope you
will join us!
PARENT INVOLVEMENT
Throughout
the year, I invite you to participate in your child’s learning experience. Opportunities will arise for parents to
assist in activities or to come read a story to the class. Please discuss additional
ideas with me, as I love parent involvement during class!
NOTE:
There is no reduction in tuition for missed days or for days that school closed
or canceled. Tuition is not reduced in December. There are no make-up classes. We follow the Alpine School District calendar.
TUITION SUBSIDIZATION
My focus really is on helping the kids learn in a fun interactive environment and I believe that should be available to anyone. Here are some options to reduce preschool costs:
*$50 supply fee will be waived if student is responsible for the enrollment of another student (including a sibling) during the same school year.
*Volunteer in class! It's always helpful to have another set of hands around. $15 will be taken off of the subsequent month's tuition for every full class a parent attends with their child. The catch? Siblings are not invited.
